Of thin section and finished on both sides, the wing and tail feathers on the front surrounding a shallow oval recess for grinding ink below a deeper recessed reservoir framed by the bird's curving neck and head, the pale olive green stone showing a prominent russet-stained natural fissure line (minor chips); with reticulated wood stand.
