Rigid body covered in dark blue cloth, with silver rank braid; peak, visorand chin cord of plastic. Front metal badge depicting two crossed rifles on a flaming grenade charged with the initials "RSM"; below, a cloth cockade in the colours of the Republic. Plume socket at the top. Tubular braided cord. The interior with green leather visor, black leather sweatband and blue cotton lining bearing traces of two stamps. Leather chinstrap.
