A lacquered and gilded wood figure of Amida Nyorai. Edo period, probably late 17th century
Standing on a large lotus blossom above a circle of lotus blossom leaves and a round and stepped richly decorated base, both hands in raigô-in, behind the figure a mandorla carved in openwork with flames (probably of later date, restored). The eyes and both urna of glass.
