A lady in European dress seated on a terrace with female attendants, Provincial Mughal, probably Oudh, late 18th century, opaque pigments and gold on paper, gilt floral border, 24.8 x 20cm. The central figure of the lady, and the chair on which she sits, appear to have been taken from a European print and dropped into a Provincial Mughal setting and idiom.
