A large Chinese carved qingbai-type vase, meiping. Carved on the exterior with dense peony scrolls, under a translucent glaze of pale aquamarine tone ending above the foot.

Acquired from Mr. Handayani Setiawan, Indonesian private collector, Jakarta, 1998
Condition Report: A few small bubbles and light glaze fritting at the bottle mouth, cracker overall, slight staining around areas of glaze pits, two small notches on the bottom, chips to underside of foot, probably relating to kiln supports, otherwise overall good condition.
