A large Chinese export style baluster form vase and cover, possibly Samson, 20th century, decorated to the body with flora and fauna, the cover with Dog of Fo finial, on carved hardwood stand, 112cm high overall
The cover has extensive restorations to the rim and the domed section with refreshment to the decoration. The Dog of Fo has been re-attached at some stage. The rim of the body with visible restored breaks and a chip at this repair. The shoulder of the vase with a horizontal incised line round part of the body which appears to be part of the manufacture and not a restoration. Some losses to the enamel decoration. The stand with minor knocks and scuffs. One leg with a split.
