A large Chinese bronze censer of bombé form with twin upright loop handles and on three plain feet. 17–18th century. Weight 14.9 kg. H. 21 cm Diam. 35 (39) cm. Wooden stand included.

Provenance: Director General of the Chinese Postal Service Erik Tollefsen (later named To Lo-sen) 1872–1938. He came to China in 1896 where he was in Customs but later became engaged in the Post Office Services and remained in China until 1932.
