A large Egyptian painted wood figure, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 - 1690 BC, from a large model wood boat, depicted seated with carved faces and black cosmetic details. He wears a kilt which is painted white and the arms held the oars of the boat. H: 8 3/8 in (21.3 cm). Well preserved pigment with mineral deposits. Old wood base. Ex New Jersey estate.
