A large George V sterling silver cigarette box, London 1935 by Edward Barnard and Sons Of rectangular form with outswept sides with a laurel rim raised upon four acanthus scroll feet. The hinged lid with a laurel rim, engine turned terrace centred with a vacant rectangular cartouche. The interior of the lid gilt, the base lined with sandalwood. The underside lined with leather. Fully marked to the base bezel, part-marked to the lid interior. Length – 31 cm / 12.1 inches
