A large Near Eastern bronze avian pendant, c. 1000 - 600 BC, cast, with comb, large eye and curved beak, the wings are short and rounded with two feet and fan-shaped tail. A large suspension loop at center of back. 1 3/4 x 2 1/2 in (3.8 x 6.3 cm). Nice brown patina. Ex Peter Cheremisinoff collection, NJ.
