A large Victorian sterling silver inkstand, London 1894/96/99 by Thomas Bradbury and Sons Of rectangular form with a gently shaped gadrooned front all raised upon four cast rocaille open work bracket feet. The pierced galleried sides of foliate scrolls with a shaped gadrooned rim. The stand (1894) with a central removable taper chamberstick (1896) with shell capped ring handle and removable sconce, flanked by two circular hinged lid (1899) mounted cut clear glass square section ink wells, fitted within detachable stands with pierced sides and gadrooned and shell rims. Fully and part-marked throughout. Length – 37 cm / 14.5 inches Weighable silver – 1933 grams / 62.15 ozt
