A large and impressive free standing George V heavy silver centrepiece urn / trophy featuring Poseidon Hamilton & Co, London, 1913, the urn rising from a circular base with two mask and shell scrolling feet and opposite two scroll and flower feet, topped by two large bearded figures with urns, the central column having ornate frieze, the knopped section with mythical flying dolphins, the main bowl section with vacant cartouche to one side, the other embossed with Poseidon in a boat and putti playing instruments, the whole with scrolling flowers, twin stempost handles with wild boar heads, elongated flared neck to removable slightly domed cover adorned with merchild blowing a horn, 25½in. (64.8cm.) high, weight 153 tr.oz.
