A large and rare Japanese porcelain vase

The thickly-potted jar finely enamelled on the white-glazed ground with shallow relief muted tones of black, brown, celadon-green, blue, white and hues of lilac, with the scene of a geisha before a Samurai and his entourage, the base also glazed white and with incised seal mark 'Kinkozan' just under the foot ring, 40cm high.
