A large blown glass ewer with Kufic inscription, Iran, the globular bottom with everted base rising to slightly tapering neck, wide mouth with dropped spout, with straight handle, to base a band of Kufic script running between two bands of abstract flower designs, to neck a leaf design, 21cm high Provenance: Purchased in 1994 from the Dr Hans Peter Trimbacher Collection, Austria. Dr Trimbacher is the architect that restructured the castle of Burg Plankenstein in Lower Austria in the mid-1970s.
