the large vase of ovoid form with copper gilt rim and silver foot ring, worked in silver and gold wire and coloured enamels on a dark blue enamel ground, with finely delineated butterflies among blossoming chrysanthemums, the leaves in shaded (bokashi) enamels, the everted rim bordered with floral lozenges and kikko, the rim with cherry blossom flowers above foliate scrolls, the foot similarly decorated with a band of hanabishishippo

Condition Report:
There are some very light surface marks, including some small scratches and small areas of pitting, the interior of the mouth with some areas of surface rust, that could easily be removed.
