A large copper red kylin vase

An impressive large white porcelain bottle vase decorated in underglaze red with four mythical beasts and underglaze blue accents to the eyes. The glaze of a silky matt appearance, possibly recovered from a ship wreck. Collected in Indonesia in the 1950's by the father of the present owner.

Dust specks in the glaze (kiln dust, manufacturing flaw). The neck of the vase slightly tilting (lop sided). The top rim possibly slightly ground down. No hairlines or restoration.
