A large cushion cut amethyst brooch, c.1950

A large cushion cut amethyst brooch, c.1950, a cushion mixed cut amethyst, 28mm x 38mm, claw set to a pierced tapering collet, with stylised spray and textured ribbon surmount, to angular double pin brooch fittings. In unmarked yellow metal tested as approximately 18ct gold, 24.60g Condition Report: A valuation for insurance dated 19.10.21 is available to view. Amethyst of top colour and finely cut. There is a small chip to the girdle, unnoticeable to the unaided eye. The table and crown facets are in very good condition. The pins and angular and might have been bent on purpose for safer clasping.
