A large fire-gilt malachite and ormolu-mounted table clockFire-gilt bronze and malachite casing. Mounted on six claw feet on a circular malachite disc. Above which, a cylindrical pedestal with three-dimensional foliage frieze and appliquéd ornaments in the centre: mascarons (female heads) surrounded by floral tendrils and leafy vines in gilt bronze. Followed by four-stepped construction with a cube-shaped base on each side, bearing the fully sculptured figure of a horseman. The steps all with a gilt bronze border, embellished with ribbon bows. The upper structure in cylinder form. Mascaron appliqués on the front, above which the dial, framed by two broad laurel garlands. A three-dimensional horseman finial. White dial with Roman numerals and gold hands. Striking mechanism for striking the half hour and hour on a bell. Knurled wheel to regulate the pendulum. Pendulum and key included.
