Arabic manuscript on paper, 287 leaves, 11 lines to the page written in muhaqqaq script in black ink with diacritics and vowel points in black and red, gold roundels outlined in red marking the verses, inner margins ruled in red, sura headings written in gold within illuminated panels on a blue ground, illuminated devices in wide margins, double-page illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, text incomplete after sura LIV, al-Qamar, a detached leaf with an unrelated colophon from another Central Asian Qur'an manuscript with the date of AH 984/AD 1576, and with the name of the scribe, 'Abd al-Latif al-Dju[...], brown morocco, with flap, damaged, very worn
