A large post-war Lefray white teddy bear, with white wool plush, large clear and black glass eyes with brown backs (loose swivel head and jointed limbs, inoperative growler and remains of painted pads —29in. (74cm.) high; and a small Robin Rive Golly (Lefray, ears loose, patched at right wrist) These items are listed on the basis they are illustrative of a bygone culture in which there were different social norms. We understand the potential controversy surrounding this type of item but believe that providing transparent information about historical context fosters greater understanding of our complex cultural history.
