A late 18th century Danish silver fish slice, assayer master Christopher Fabricus (active 1749-1787), with additional Russian import marks The scalloped blade, with pierced decoration and an engraved twisted laurel wreath, the handle with die-stamped decoration of C scrolls and rocaille. Marked to the stem, also with ‘78’ for 78 zolotnik (812 standard), and JS in a rectangular punch with canted corners. Length – 28 cm / 11 inches Weight – 117 grams / 3.76 ozt
