parquetry, the hinged top lifting to reveal a shallow velvet-lined interior, the sides with a pair of brass loop handles, the front, sides & reverse with conforming decorative schemes repeated to the interiors of the pair of front doors, comprising a central panel of ivory bearing detailed engraved decoration depicting naturalistic upright leaves & flowers, the interior appearing as an arrangement of nine drawers with geometric ivory inlay and green-stained bandings, but opening as six drawers, Height 12.5", Width 15.5", Depth 10.75" - in distressed condition.
