A late 1920's silver caster.

[ translate ]

A late 1920's silver caster, the plain baluster body with lower girdle detail above a stepped and spread foot, the removable cover with simple hole, vertical and stylised floral pierced panels. Hallmarked Charles Perry & Co., Chester 1929. Height to finial 6" (15cm), weight 7.26 ozt (225.7 grams).

Condition Report:
- Of fairly heavy gauge and appears in good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Some nicks and small gouges in the metal to the underside of the foot rim, look like file marks.
- Lid is a very tight fit, but a good fit.
- Seam line visible to interior of lid with some possible solder repairs along.
- Hallmarks located to base, these clear and legible. Slight impressions visible to the interior base.
- Part hallmarks of lion passant and date letter located to flange of lid.
