A late 19c French mantel clock in white alabaster drum head case, the circular movement flanked by two gilt cherubs, one holding a globe and the other a book. The 9cm diam. white enamel dial has Roman numerals and moon hands and the drum is surmounted with a gilt globe and musical instruments. The two train movement is count wheel striking on a bell and bears Japy Frere's stamp. The clock is 33cm wide.
