A late 19th century 18ct gold old-cut diamond fringe brooch, the fringe detachable and the brooch to be worn as a necklace.Estimated total diamond weight 3.75cts, G-I colour, VS-P1 clarity.Length as a brooch 6cms. Diameter as a pendant 2.7cms. Wearable length of chain 37cms. Chain with French assay marks. 21.3gms.
Condition Report: Surface scratches and small marks.
Brooch with small alterations, small hole to top of the surmount, possibly previously with a surmount loop.
Replacement clasp. Soft solder visible to gallery.
Pin hinge unscrews.
Currently the fringe is attached by two hooks, chain attaches by the two hooks that secure the fringe.
Smallest accent diamonds are rose-cuts.
Diamonds appear fairly bright and well matched. Few diamonds appear P1 clarity.
One of the smaller old-cut diamonds is chipped.
