A late 19th century silver and gold diamond bodice ornament. Of openwork design, the old-cut diamond cluster, with similarly-cut diamond foliate and scrolling ribbon surround, suspending an old-cut diamond foliate fringe. Estimated total diamond weight 28 to 32cts, principal diamonds estimated I-K colour, SI1-PI1 clarity. French assay marks. Length 18.5cms. Weight 107.3gms. With fitted case.
Condition Report: Overall condition good with surface scratches and small dents.
Evidence of repairs/ alterations to the reverse, soft solder visible.
Diamonds well matched and bright.
Individual size and setting of non-principal diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Diamonds have moderate to few, scattered light and dark inclusions.
Principal diamonds estimated total weight 4cts.
French marks are re-strike marks, not original to the piece.
