A late 19th century silver and gold, opal, old and single-cut diamond brooch, with detachable heart drop pendant and wings.

Opal calculated total weight 4.95cts, based on estimated dimensions of 14.5 by 7.4 by 5.3mms and 9.2 by 9 by 4mms.

Estimated total diamond weight 2.30cts, H-I colour, VS2-P1 clarity.

Length 4.5cms. 11.6gms.

Condition Report:
- Probable replacement brooch fittings.

- Diamonds appear bright.

- Opals of white body colour with fair to good play of colour, predominantly in the pink to orange spectrum, opaque.

- Mount electronically tests as silver to front, 15ct gold to verso and 18ct gold to pin.

- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.

- Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
