A late 19th / early 20th century American sterling silver and enamel bachelor teapot, Massachusetts, North Attleboro circa 1900 by R. Blackinton & Co (active 1862-1967)
Of rounded form on a collet foot, a curved spout with incised lines opposite a C scroll handle with leaf form junction and ivory insulators. The gently domed hinged lid with fixed conical finials decorated with leaves. The upper section of the body with enamelled decoration of trailing red berries with leafy branches, all below a brown enamel border. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with makers mark, ‘sterling’ and 8263.
