A late 19th / early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver christening mug or cup, Cutch circa 1900, marked TP, possibly Tarachand Pursram Ramswam of Bombay Raj period. modelled after a Chinese porcelain tea cup, of circular form upon a tapering collet foot, with a shaped loop handle. The body with chased decoration of foliate scrolls and rosettes, a vacant shield shape cartouche to the side. Marked underneath TP in a shaped shield. Height – 5.7 cm / 2.25 inches Weight – 83 grams / 2.67 ozt
