A late George III silver pedestal sauce boat.

A late George III silver sauce boat, the oval pedestal form with gadroon, shell and fruiting vine girdle above a plain body with engraved coronet to one side, the part reeded handle with foliate detail and the whole raised on an oval foot. Hallmarked William Burwash, London 1817. Overall length 8.25" (21cm) and height 5.5" (14cm), weight 17.17 ozt (534 grams).

Condition Report:
- Of fairly heavy gauge and appears in good overall condition.
- Displaying some general tarnishing and some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and nicks in keeping with the age and use.
- Some possible repairs around the join of the girdle to the main body.
- Visible seam line to handle.
- Floods of solder visible to the underside, around the join of the foot.
- Hallmarks located underneath and these are clear and legible.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
