A late George III silver teapot.

A late George III silver teapot, the compressed circular form with gadroon rim above a later presentation engraving and lobed band to the lower body, with repeated lobed decoration to the hinged lid and finial, and a flat-top handle with shell thumb-rest and ivory insulators. Hallmarked London 1815, maker's mark partly distorted, possibly Robert Hennell II. Maximum length 10.5" (26.5cm), gross weight 22.73 ozt (706.8 grams).

Condition Report:
- Engraved around the edge, 'Court-y-Bella Show 1841. Subscribers Prize for the best Bull, Cow and Offspring.'
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Some minor surface dints and nicks.
- Heavier damage and little gouges around the tip of the spout and repairs.
- Lid with slight movement and some damage and repairs around the hinge. Still closes flush.
- Some slight knocks and edge nicks around the rim of the lid.
- Finial loose and the nut cannot be tightened.
- Some damage to pins around the ivory insulators and one protruding.
- Hallmarks located to the base scattered in a group, all clearly legible.
