A late Georgian amethyst, citrine, diamond and enamel, heart shaped clip brooch

A late Georgian amethyst, citrine, diamond and enamel, heart shaped clip brooch,
with an applied pansy. The heart shaped plaque with an applied pansy flower head, set with graduated foiled amethysts, citrines and old cushion shaped diamonds, possibly fancy light yellow. All set in cut down collets, to a white enamel ground, with a blue champlevé border and the gold wording, 'vous-le-meritez' translated as 'you deserve it'. The plaque with a later closed back, later mounted to a clip brooch. Tested as approximately 18ct gold, 9ct gold and silver. 20.00 x 18.80mm, 5.92g
