A late Georgian diamond set flower brooch/pendant,
with the cluster flower head composed of an old European cut diamond in a cut down collet at the centre, surrounded by two outer rows of graduated cushion-shaped old Swiss cut diamonds, all in silver cut down collets. A curved and textured gold stem with cushion-shaped diamond set leaves and buds, all set in silver and backed in gold. A fold-down hinged bale and detachable brooch fitting with 'C' catch. Tested as approximately silver backed in 14-15ct gold. 35 x 22mm, 7.75g. A later case by 'S.J. Phillips Ltd. 139 New Bond St, London, W1'
