A late Regency line inlaid mahogany tall case clock

The arched painted dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and a subsidiary calendar dial and rolling moon phase to the arch, inscribed IMPROVE THE TIME WHILE IN YOUR POWER, the twin train movement striking on a bell.

Condition Report: With a warm nutty brown tone to the figured timber. Evenly sun faded. With pendulum. No keys or weights. Finials replaced. Small pieces of veneer missing from case next to escutcheon. Two small horizontal age cracks to lower part of trunk. A few small scuffed losses to veneer. Losses to feet. The dial with cracquelure and surface dirt overall. A few scattered losses to paint. Four vacant holes to edges of dial at 4pm and 8’ and at lower right and left corners. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed. Movement appears to be intact.
