A late Victorian 18ct gold turquoise and split pearl

A late Victorian 18ct gold turquoise and split pearl locket. Of oval outline, with circular turquoise cabochon and split pearl belt and buckle motif. One turquoise deficient. Length 5.9cms. Weight 20.9gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
One turquoise deficient.
Surmount possible later replacement.
Inner panel with signs of soft solder, discolouration and surface scratches.
The metal plating has worn.
Turquoise are well matched, medium greenish-blue colour.

Turquoise are in good condition with minor abrasions, few small nicks.

Split pearls are well matched, cream and greyish colour, with pink and green overtones, in good condition, minor nicks to surfaces.
Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
