A late Victorian chrysoberyl cat's eye and diamond cluster, later mounted to a bar brooch. A circular cabochon chrysoberyl cat's eye claw set to the centre and surrounded by a row of old European cut diamonds all claw set to a scalloped gallery with an incised under bezel. The later bar with flat guards and a lever catch. Tested as approximately 18ct gold, the bar as 15ct gold and the pin as 9ct gold. 64mm x 14mm, 3.45g Condition Report: Good central chatoyancy. Diamonds bright and lively. Light surface marks consistent with its age.
