A late Victorian gold gem-set snake bracelet. The oval turquoise cabochon heart-shape pendant, suspended from a textured snake head, with garnet eyes and turquoise crest, to the graduated snake-link chain. Length 23.5cms. Weight 10.3gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Heart-shape pendant with glazed panel to reverse.

Evidence of alteration to one side of snake head.

Some gems possible replacements.

Lobster clasp and hook terminal later additions.

One turquoise discoloured, one with significant chips.

Garnet are in good condition with minor abrasions.
