A late Victorian 15ct gold ruby and diamond brooch, together with an early 20th century gold split pearl stickpin. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct, H-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1900. Length of stickpin head 1cm. Length of brooch 5cms. Total weight 6.1gms.

- Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds bright.

- Ruby is a medium vivid red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Stickpin electronically tests as 9ct gold.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
