A late Victorian ruby, diamond and pearl crescent brooch

A late Victorian ruby, diamond and pearl crescent brooch, with a central diamond daisy cluster, one diamond and a seed pearl deficient, encircled by a closed crescent, with a line of graduated old mine and rose cut diamonds, into an outer row or graduated rubies, all set in silver backed in gold. Mounted on a knife edge bar with a Swiss cut diamond and a seed pearl to each end. Pin and lever catch. 48mm long, 5.90g Condition Report: Daisy cluster missing the central seed pearl and a small diamond. Areas of tarnish to the silver setting. A hairline crack across one seed pearl. Marks and tarnish to the gold mount, consistent with its age. Rubies are well matched, nice and bright. A couple of stones have chips to the edges.
