A late Victorian sapphire and diamond ring.

Designed as a circular-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond check-aboard, with a scroll gallery, stamped 18ct, total diamond weight approx. 0.40ct, ring size I 1/2.
Condition Report: Gross weight approx. 3.3g. Overall good condition. Minor scratches in line with use and age. Sapphires in good condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the table and facet edges visible under 10x loupe. Sapphires with good saturation, good clarity and typical inclusions visible under 10x loupe. Diamonds well matched, bright and lively. Calculated diamond weight approximate, weighed in mount, weight may differ. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The shank fitted with sizing pips.
