A late Victorian silver christening set, two 1920's cased set of six silver teaspoons, etc.

A late Victorian silver christening set, including a knife, fork and spoon, each with engraved floral and geometric motifs, contained within a fitted case, hallmarked William Hutton & Sons (Edward Hutton), length of knife measuring 8 inches (20.5 cm). Together with a 1920's cased set of six silver teaspoons with seal-top terminals, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Sheffield 1924, a further 1920's cased set of six silver teaspoons with pierced terminals, hallmarked London 1927, a novelty set of cocktail sticks, realistically modelled as six golf clubs contained within a material golfing bag, etc. Gross weighable silver 5.5 ozt (173.1 grams). In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The case for the christening set has some minor scuffs and wear and shuts securely, the blade and handle of the knife are hallmarked but the handle is filled. The case for the 1927 set of teaspoons does not shut securely. Some of the mother-of-pearl handles on the plated knives are cracked and split, there is also gaps between the handles and blades showing the fixture stem, with significant losses to the bottom of the case. The cocktail sticks appear unmarked, the handle on the material golfing bag which they are contained is detached at the top. The pin cushion appears to be a napkin ring lined, it is engraved with the number '3'. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible, many pieces would benefit from a clean and polish. This lot may have export issues, for customers outside of the EU, please note that it is the buyers responsibility to adhere to any import/export requirements.
