A late Victorian silver fruit dish, the oval form with shaped leafy scroll rim enclosing embossed panels of floral and fruit motifs amidst further scrolls, and raised on similarly decorated and pierced feet. Hallmarked Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson), London 1893. Maximum length 11" (28cm), weight 15.92 ozt (495 grams).
Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and general use.
- Residues of old polish.
- Some light surface wear and rubbing to areas of the decoration with slight loss of detail to some areas, but overall appears bright and retaining much detail.
- Stands firm on its feet.
- Hallmarks located to the interior, these partly rubbed but legible.
