A late Victorian silver punch or rose bowl with floral embossed decoration.

A late Victorian silver punch or rose bowl, ornately embossed throughout with flowers and leafy scrolls surrounding twin opposed cartouche, one vacant, the other with a later presentation engraving, and raised on a spread circular foot. Hallmarked Walter & John Barnard, London 1895. Rim diameter 10.25" (26cm), weight 27.7 ozt (862 grams).

Condition Report:
- Engraving reads, 'Working Mens Club & Institute Union Ltd., Warwickshire Branch Angling 1947.'
- Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Some minor surface dints.
- The interior with some heavier scratches and contact marks to base and an impression visible form the join of the foot.
- Solder repairs clearly visible around the join of the base of the short stem to the foot.
- With a slight wobble.
- Hallmarks located below the rim, these rubbed but still all legible.
- Impressed numbers to base 338.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
