A long, two-barrel turning pistol, a copy made for collectors in the style of circa 1600
Beschreibung: Smooth, at the breeches balustered and fluted barrels in 8 mm calibre with cannon muzzle. Fully functioning chiselled iron wheel locks with pierced brass wheel covers and folding trigger safeties. Profusely engraved and blackened scrolling flowers, animals and figures, bone-inlaid walnut full stock with octagonal pear-shaped pommel. Iron trigger guard. Unusually elaborate and detailed firearms. Length 73.5 cm. The original of the present pistol is housed in the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, published by L. Tarassuk, Antique Firearms, Leningrad 1972, figure 399.
