A lovely Roman bronze handle element, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, the base of a handle for a bronze vessel adorned with the facing bust of a woman, her hair in a coiled plait atop her head. L: 2 1/2 in (6.4 cm). Nicely patinated. Ex Peter Cheremisinoff collection, NJ.
