A lovely Romano-Egyptian terracotta head of Athena, c. 1st - 2nd Century BC, wearing a crested helmet with stylized wings, her features quite beautiful and well detailed. From a very large figure. H: 4 1/8 x 3 in (10.4 x 7.6 cm). Well-preserved with remnants white dressing, old collection numbers on base of neck in black ink. Mounted on an antique wood base. Ex Brentwood, CA private collection.
