A mahogany Thebes stool, late 19th century, designed by Leonard Francis Wyburd for Liberty & Co., with original cane seat, 46.5cm square 36cm high Liberty & Co. registered the design of the Thebes stool in 1884 and it continued to be sold until c.1919. Condition Report: Frame good - some marks to the frame, with scuffing to the base of the legs. But in good overall condition. Spindles all surprisingly good. Some marks and knocks to the frame. No provenance - bought in a charity shop.
