The lid decorated with a cherry blossom branch with a tanzaku hanging from it, in two shades of gold on a black ground. To the inside mura-nashiji, the inside of the lid decorated with two herons and reeds by a small river. The inset tray with ink stone and water dropper of gilt metal. Minor traces of use.
