A matched pair of late Victorian silver sauce tureens, liners and covers by Garrard and Co., London 1895 & 1901, rounded rectangular with oval urn finials to the domed covers, gadrooned rims, each with twin plain loop handles, each on four paw feet, engraved with a crest and a shield, 19cm (7 1/2in) long, 1583g (50.9 oz)
The arms are those of the CURRY family of East Horsley, Surrey; Cheshire; Bush Hill, Middlesex and London. Blazon: gules, a saltire argent, a rose in chief of the last barbed and seeded vert; crest: a cock gules.
