A melon-shaped ewer. Song dynasty (907-1279)

Of ovoid form, the lobed body shaped in the form of a melon, applied with a long spout and strap handle. Greyish stoneware, covered with a white slip below a transparent, crackled greyish glaze. Wooden stand and box.
